What
are the differences between Copernic Tracker and Copernic
Agent Professional's tracking features?
Copernic Agent Professional can track
Web searches and Web pages but Copernic Tracker is specialized
in tracking Web pages. It offers a wider variety of options
and features than Copernic Agent Professional.
Copernic Tracker:
- Keeps copies of page revisions to
enable users to compare changes that occurred in the
past.
- Lets you track specific words within
pages, including Boolean and other search operators (AND,
OR, NEAR), multiple levels of parentheses and quotes.
- Alerts you of changes through a
desktop alert, tray icon, notification window or SMS
message.
- Enables users to manage tracking
tasks through folders, customizable notes and revision
descriptions.
- Tracks Web pages with frames and
pages that require basic authentication.
- Highlights new words normally and
deleted text in strikethrough.
For more information please see the
complete list of features on the features
list page.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Copernic
Tracker doesn't seem to run my tracking tasks according
to the schedule I set. Yet, I can run them manually.
What causes this problem?
You might be logged on as a user without
a password. Copernic Tracker uses the Windows T ask S cheduler
and, with Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft Windows
XP, the T ask S cheduler won't run properly if the user
doesn't have a password. This is a known problem for these
two platforms. Therefore, to avoid problems with the tracking
feature, we recommend that you set a user password.
You can read more about this problem
in the following Microsoft knowledge base article:
